| Spending your holidays aboard a yacht is an intense and gratifying experience. The
Spanish coast offers exceptional conditions to enjoy your holidays on board, especially in
the summer. |
| Mooring at a lonely inlet, plunging into clear water or taking a nap cradled by the
waves.. These are sensations difficult to forget. For the most active, navigation offers
numerous opportunities because there are always tasks to fulfill in a boat, ranging from
cooking to tidying up the boat, as well as navigating itself. Navigation tasks difficulty
will vary according to the state of the sea, the kind of boat and the shipping fluency in
the area. In one word, those who look for tranquility will find it and those who look
for activity will also find it. In any case, holidays aboard a yacht are never boring.
Books, games that we usually bring are barely used. And that is because the sea takes us
to a different mind state, where time acquires a different sense and days fly unaware. |

| There is a widely held misconception that the yachts are luxury items, attainable to
few pockets. However, they are not expensive compared to other holiday trips. One week in
a yacht, with skipper included, may cost about 500 Euros per person in the most expensive
season (August). If we have our own skipper, the price drops to 400 Euros. Moreover, the
additional costs are generally very low. Typically, 150 Euros per person to cover the food
and drink (all bought in a supermarket prior to departure), fuel and docking at a port. |

Two issues must be especially taken into account to ensure that our holidays on a boat
are completely satisfactory. The first one is seasickness. We should avoid it by taking
medications in the early days on board and remaining in port if the sea is in poor
condition.
The second one is the group of people with which we navigate. One of the charms of
sailing is the intense coexistence with the companions of the boat. Typically, it takes
place between laughter and long talks, forging good friendships. It is essential that
everyone is tolerant, collaborating on common tasks, and willing to adapt to the life of
the boat, which sometimes can be a bit uncomfortable due to the small spaces. |

|
| We usually rent a boat in summer. In this season the companies rent a boat for a week,
from Saturday to Saturday. The boat is available at noon and we will return it early on
Saturday. Before setting sail, together with the skipper, we will plan the route according
to the area, weather conditions, and our tastes.
Some prefer to navigate extensively, covering long distances, others prefer to remain
moored at beaches or coves, and others wish to have contact with earth and go inland,
hitching to one of the many ports along the coastline. It is advisable to do a little bit
of every thing, it will make the holidays more varied and fun. |
